Glasses goals: Designer Orla Kiely just launched 16 frames at Specsavers

Irish designer Orla Kiely has just launched a new range of striking glasses at Specsavers. Consisting of 16 frames (with a mix of optical and sun lenses), her collection is both sophisticated and bold.

Orla Kiely is famed for encapsulating nostalgic, mid-century modern-inspired designs with a 21st-century flair, and she brings a playful approach to the frames. Full of colour, each design draws on everyday elements, such as plants and animals. As experts at Specsavers say, the collection “is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face”.

The frames

Priced at €129, the Orla Kiely collection of eyewear is available from stores nationwide.

Popular frames in the collection include a striking design in an on-trend round shape, with a stylish two-tone front in warm tortoiseshell and olive green. The sides feature a black, brown and cream pattern with stand-out gold brand detailing at the hinges.

For another catching look, the collection also includes stylish chunky tortoiseshell frames. The round shape has a hint of cat-eye, and for a little added colour, the interior has a delicate orange floral pattern.

Alternatively, these thin, circular frames are perfect if you prefer a dainty look. Its interior boasts a subtle floral pattern for a touch of femininity.
